  1. It's a Mickey mouse league with too many organizations who could care less about the respect factor of traditional fans. Just bring more and more teams. No offense but nobody should know who Kucherov is in a dead market.

  2. Mcdavid plays like a robot, kuch plays like a human(extremely inteligent human but still human)

  3. Kucherov in last 3 playoffs, 16 games 1+16=17. Also have watched most of those games. Sorry but he is level below the absolute best of the world.

  4. To me, Nathan MacKinnon means "No Personality". It's almost impossible to tell where Crosby ends and MacKinnon begins. Guy loves to live in Crosby's shadow.

  5. If you’re the NHL you better hope to the hockey Gods that Kutcherov isn’t your best player. He is painfully boring to watch. Dynamic is not in his dictionary. He might put up some good numbers, but there are half a dozen other players I’d choose over him – probably more.

  6. Maybe I am wrong for thinking this, but Kucherov has always been a monster in the second half of any season usually stealing the Art Ross due to late season booms.

  7. He hasn't passed McDavid in points tho. David still has over 90 more points while having played over 80 less games.

  8. One thing you also forgot to mention is ice time. Gretzky averaged around 28 minutes or more a night at his peak.. while Kucherov is the complete opposite, averaging around 20 a night, 2-3 minutes below McDavid and MacKinnon.

  9. It's crazy breaking down a 5 on 3 while praising Kucherov for being a generational player lol everyone is elite when their team has 2 extra players. We know he's a PP merchant but you could have at least found a clip 5 on 5 to pretend like he isn't. I guess that was too hard though

  10. Been making that Gretz comparison for years. Weird people can’t see it. It’s right there. Kuch is my fave and ya, I think he’s the actual best player in the league.

  11. Kucherov is more skilled than Wayne Gretzky was. Maybe that's why when adjusting for the thre number if goals scored in the Gretzky era, Kucherov is on pace to break the Great One's record.

  12. Kuch has to be one of the most underrated players of all time in the sense of not being concidering to 20 all time players….

Like i always traded for him in GM mode when he was a sophomore, because not only was he a stud in the game and would grow to the max, he was a stud in real life and lived up to his potential and then some

  13. Lost me when was in dream land, going on about how many points "may" very loosely have got. The point stats don't work that way, its what you get at end of year added all up. And nothing more, for total points in career.

  14. I like these types of videos. It’s insightful. It’s like we’re studying a chess grandmaster Kucherov. How he plays and what he does is important to study. Kids needs to know how he plays. He plays smart hockey and just shows up everyday. A good question would be what would’ve been a great move? Shoot or pass? Slow down or skate fast or faster? This position or the other position? Hockey is exactly like chess.

  15. Coming from a hockey card perspective, he is also very undervalued. Which is crazy, since he puts up 90-100pts every season. As for his zone entry, Gretzky was the king of slamming on the breaks and making a pass. I'm glad you recognized that.

  16. You thesis is why he's so fun to watch. It's these little things. He's just like a little bit better at everything.

  17. What a BS video! He literally said Crosby as the first thing, when asked the question. Come on now

  18. 9:31 Dig the video overall, but I'd say this part here is kind of mess of reasoning. For one thing you're looking at a sample size of 30 games (not even half a season) from Kucherov and trying to pace it out over an entire season, which is a huge hypothetical in and of itself. Then you're taking that 30 game pace and trying to era adjust by using figures from the entirety of both seasons, not just those 30 games. And then you again pace that out over an entire season, making it an even bigger and convoluted hypothetical. I still don't think its a great way to look at things, but if you were going to do it that way, you'd want to take Gretzky's best 30 game streak and compare it to Kucherov's 30 games, and then figure out the goals per game average over those 30 games for both periods for the era adjustment, and then pace those out over an equal number of games. (That's also another aspect that doesn't match up as they played 80 games in 81-82 vs the 82 games they'll play this season).

Btw, if you take Kucherov's entire season and perform a similar pace and era adjustment, it comes out to 187 points in 80 games.

  19. I used to be a huge Kucherov fan but he is pretty dirty sometimes. Ever since he slew footed Michael Rasmussen (a player I'm not even a fan of but plays on my team) I have had very mixed feelings about Kuch. I respect him but I can't truly say I'm a fan currently
