Unlike the Leafs who seem paralised with fear the VGKs are a serious franchise determined to win & are prepared to make tough decisions , now weather it pays off is a different thing entirely.

Surprising news to hear Cassidy got axed. The G-Knights have been slumping as of late and its modus operandi in the NHL to change coaches at any point of a season especially this late with 8 games remaining and a decent playoff spot on the line.
I hope Vegas lose to Edmonton.

I was genuinely shocked when I read this. Maybe a spring cleaning is coming if they get bounced early or don't make it.

Strong personalities do well during crisis. He will probably light a fire under everyone in the short term and thus they'll perform well, but piss everyone off in the long term.
Tort is a bad hire. Vegas is going to regret this move.

So glad they didn't hire this guy in Buffalo… As soon as the media started talking about bringing in 'torts' in December the Sabres got a nuclear turbine induced fire 🔥 lit up their a#ses and went 32-6-2… It turns out: you don't really NEED 'torts'… You just need the 'threat' of 'torts' 👍 🏒 💯 ⚔️
GOLDEN KNIGHTS HAVE A PROBLEM NOW COMMON IN THE NHL. BAD GOALTENDING.. THE WORLD CLASS PLAYERS IN THE NHL HAVE FIGURED OUT THE STUPID REVERSE V DROP TO THE KNEES ON EVERYTHING STYLE OF GOALIES, AND THE PLAYERS ARE CHEWING THEM UP.. FOR YEARS NHL TEAMS HAVE DRAFTED GIANT GOALIES, THINKING THAT WAS THE ANSWER.. THE NHL DID THE SAME THING IN THE 1990s, WHEN THEY DRAFTED HUGE PLAYERS WITH NO SKILL.. THIS IS THE SAME EVOLUTION, JUST WITH GOALIES.. THE SAVE PERCENTAGE AVERAGE HAS DROPPED IN THE NHL COMPARED TO 20 YEARS AGO. PLAYERS NOW SHOOT, AND SCORE FROM IMPOSSIBLE ANGLES.. BECAUSE THE SHOOTER KNOWS THE GOALIE SAVE SELECTION BEFORE HE SHOOTS THE PUCK.

The new coach bump is real. Maybe Vegas is going to try a new strategy where they fire their coach every 40-50 games.
