Did Linus Ullmark undo all the goodwill he’d earned by not making himself available today? #GoSensGo

Did Linus Ullmark undo all the goodwill he’d earned over the last month by not making himself available for today’s pivotal clash in Tampa? 👀🤔

  1. Im sorry but im fed up with ullmark, he literally costing us the season if we don't make it. Taking time off because hes sad is a very bad look for a goalie. The best goalies in the world have a strong mind. Get shesterkin the rangers don't need him.

  2. You can't say the goalie was to blame though. The Sens could hvw had 4 goals in the 1st which would have crushed the Lightnings drive.

  3. I am officially over Linus. AND this could very well have been the worst 60 mins of No. 7 in a Sens uniform. He was undisciplined, to the point of being selfish. He was lazy and he had an overall negative impact today. Very unfortunate.

  4. This fanbase and media around the team are OBSESSED with goaltending. Just cannot stop yapping about it all the freaking time. No wonder goalies have better numbers before they come to Ottawa or after they leave the Sens. The amount of pressure and attention ain't easy to handle.

  5. Ullmark has always been tone deaf. He can't read the room. He's the only one who doesn't realize what's at stake. Can't wait to move on from him this summer

  6. Hard disagree. Mental health is about giving your best, not what's left. It's precisely because Linus understands what's at stake that he took the afternoon off. 16 skaters can put the puck in the net. Only 1 guy can keep it out. He's missing a game so he can recharge and be at his best for the rest of the stretch. No one knows what Linus needs better than Linus. I think his numbers since his return from leave speak for themselves. He has been solid. Let's not forget he had ice in veins against Detroit and carried the team to OT against the Pens this week.

Load management is the norm for top players and pitchers in both the NBA and MLB. Nothing wrong with it coming to the NHL too.

  7. So on the one hand it might be a bad look, but on the other you can't risk Ullmark getting hurt either. Here's going to need to start at least 7 of these last 9 games though.

  8. Unacceptable from ullmark… wanting a rest day when we are playing one of the best teams, I don't accept that

  9. Insane attitude if it's just a "I'm tired" thing. The team must be above everything

  10. At this point, I’d rather see Reimer play the rest of the season out. Our 8 million dollar head case isn’t a team player and literally let down all his teammates again this season.

  11. Guys what has this turned into with Wally and Yorky gone? Just a platform to whine and complain and blurb out as many complaints as you can? Linus could be going through literally ANYTHING personally it’s the easiest cop out to frame it in a negative way after a loss. Give the guy a break they’re all human before players. I agree to much of your point of view but let’s frame it in a more professional mature way. I’m sure some of the guys may come across this so let’s support them along this stretch instead of get in their heads.

  12. No way he is popular in the dressing room for letting his teammates down!! What a 🤬 tool.

I wondered why no one fist pumped him going off… nos it makes even more sense.

  13. 8+ million a year to say "I'm tired" lmao get this bum off the senators already.

  14. There's always something with this guy. Ullmark feels like a ME before WE athlete.
