Can someone explain the 2026 trade deadline to me? Yzerman gives up a 1st-round pick for 33-year-old Justin Faulk while our top prospects are rotting in Grand Rapids or getting 8 minutes of ice time. We needed a top-six spark, and we got a 37-year-old David Perron who has zero points since the trade. We’re 21st in Goals For and dead last in Max Skating Speed (#32). We are slow, we are old, and we are easy to play against. Steve, the 'patience' card expired three seasons ago. This isn't a rebuild; it's a treadmill.
