Smith is amazing but his confidence is shook because this clown keeps benching him for things he lets other, older people get away with. Why are you messing with a kid in his second season, but someone like Klingberg gets a pass??
Warso needs to stop switching lines, it’s literally never worked. If there had been success in the past, Id understand the reasoning to change lines because other players have stepped up while Smith has taken a slight hump since the break, but the constant switches dont help anyone. Smith isn’t going to get better if he’s on the bench (that said Will does need to compete more and execute more consistently), Misa nor Dickinson are going to get better if they don’t have help, and Mack cant perform well with a new line every shift. It’s obvious that Mack is on a different trajectory in his development, but Warso shouldn’t expect that same path from everyone, especially Smith. Missing Cherny extra right now and believe he is the perfect person to have wing Mack because their compete levels are similar. Cherny is the perfect balance with Smith, and I believe he’ll help develop Will's intensity. The team is still young, so don’t know why a player is punished every time they make a mistake, especially since those mistakes are better to be done now in the development stages, rather than later in a players prime. Still, it’s under Warso coaching that this team has been able to make a huge jump from last, and we don’t see everything that goes on behind closed doors. Warso has his flaws for sure, but he’s hasn’t been as terrible as everyone says, he just jumps the gun maybe too quickly.

"i'm just trying to get someone to play with mack" no, you need to develop a team! find lines (plural!!) that work! and give them time to actually develop their skills and chemistry together.
instead he changes lines a billion times a game, runs mack into the ground, splits up one of the best on ice duos in the nhl and destroys their young players' self esteem.
it is remarkable how well the players have been performing DESPITE this messy coaching.
there is so much talent and promise here if only it was being utilised in a smart and responsible way
These kids were told the future is teal but now you want them playing every single period like today is teal. Those weren't the expectations. They need consistency and to be trusted enough to make mistakes and turn it around or learn from it. They're so close to being the team the entire league knows they can be and confidence is key.
i believe warso is a better coach than he's given credit for, but i cant defend some of these decisions. stop shuffling the lines, stop scratching mukh. have faith in your players, and quit it with the 'earn it' bs if you cant check your biases.

You're on rebuild. Half your team is young players. You wouldn't be able to win every game. The only thing you can do is provide as much as experience to your young players and stop being so fickle minded. Celebrini is you star player but ice hockey is not a solo game. Grinding him to that point is useless for long-term.

Top line smith brini sherwood dmen vinny and mukky or goody and mukky gut says this lime up would kill. Sherwood would be a perfect match for smitty and brini as he is just as competitive as those two and when he gets pissed shit starts to really happen its like nate calling out bedsy for pulling the 11 7 shit and the game last night for avs v stars ended in regulation tie with a shoot out they may have lost but avs proved that cohesive lines that have really worked well together already need to not be messed with. Listen to thenplayers coach they actually play the game while you just watch i get what coaches do but theyre not in the thick of it like the guys are
