The Oilers should fire Knoblauch as soon as possible. He has absolutely no clue what to do and blenders the lines for no reason. Case in point when he took Savoie off the McDavid line even though they showed great chemistry together. I literally can’t watch any more games because of this fool.

He is a coach who punishs physicality and drive . Check the ice times 5 out of 12 are getting 18 min + and the othwrs are way under 10. He want a super soft team just the way he played. Thats not a winning way .. big tough and talented is what wins and non of the oiler brass sees it
I follow the Oilers for 3 years now. Watching a lot of hockey of the other teams in the NHL as well. They made a lot of bad decisions regarding trades. The goaltending issue only got worse. Against Florida Pobrowski and Ingram received nearly the same SOG. They were better off with Skinner. And with Evander Kane. Those decisions are made by the management and the coach. Should have gone for a change in coaching/management at the end of last year.

The biggest problem with this team is management. Since Stan Bowman came, the roster has became noticeably worse. Knoblauch isn’t the greatest coach out there, but he’s not really a big problem. Management needs to eat this 100%.
Another coaching change, another GM change, another Goalie change. Lol. The more the changes the more it all stays the same hahah

Oilers won’t get pass back 1st round, if they even make it., if they lose the next 8-10 games will they be at, last place in the division.

This fanbase, management, and ownership have no patience. That's why we have no cups to show for 10 years of McDavid.
Mike Grier is running san with Tod Marchant in front office , Steve staios is gm in Ottawa . Old oil players that knew what it took are in high positions in other organizations. There’s a reason we had a decade of darkness and would have continued if we didn’t draft mcdavid and drai. We are close now to trading both of them in their career now

If we miss the playoffs or bomb out first round he's gone imo. We won't do it now, but it's an easy offseason move. The Oilers are probably the most studied film team in the nhl, and it's very apparent to me this season that knob can't make the necessary adjustments to keep up with that. He simply can't adjust enough, and the florida method just beats him. The endless line blenders also are just inexcusable right now when we are basically on the razors edge of not even being in a playoff spot.
Can’t fire the coach! Back to back cup finals! He’s a good coach but seriously, he was given keys to a Ferrari and the Ferrari took them to back to back finals. Now the roster has lost so much talent and turnover, it’s a different roster now and he isn’t getting it done with the group now. It’s time to get a new coach unfortunately. No way Draisatl and Mcdavid speak the way they did if the team isn’t responding to KK. Folks need to stop looking back at the past. This team is built different than the 2 rosters that made the cup finals and further to that last cup final the roster wasn’t as good as the first cup final. It all started with dropping Holloway and Broberg. They should have at least kept Broberg because good young D man are not easy to find. Podkolzin was a great add but he’s not putting up 50 points plus pace, not yet at least. They’ve made some bad decisions that have downgraded the roster however this roster isn’t as bad as the record shows and it’s likely they need a different coach with a different attitude that can take this roster and have them play a different system they can build chemistry with. They need a more assertive coach personality to connect to individuals on the team and instill a different motivation and mentality.

I imagine with a job like this in Edmonton it’s probably easy to devolve into a pale & hairy beer-belly merchant but he’s obviously put in some work.
