Excited to see these upcoming big games for the Bruins, time to show if they are truly a playoff team
Ottawa also has the easiest schedule out of Boston, Detroit, Columbus, and Canadians.

What a time to be a Red Wings fan.
Call it pandering all you want but the truth is the Flyers play all these teams down the stretch and they have beaten some good teams. They more than likely aren't making the playoffs but they definitely can knock some out.
Columbus is playing really well, so Columbus for #1 Not the Wings, not sure about # 2.
Sens are 4 points out but have a game in hand on Boston and Detroit, and they also play Detroit once more before the end of season. The sens will only have a chance if they can get a .900 save percentage or better though, and Ullmark hasn't shown he can be that guy so far.
Correction on the Sabres, they aren't just fighting for the division. They are literally in serious contention to win the eastern Conference

Detroit and Boston for wild card positions
Totally ignoring the Flyers recent road wins. Think they're going to be the surprise, and will make it in.

detroit plays philly 3 times in the final stretch. im 10 minutes in and they didnt mention it. they barely mention the flyers buy the flyers are still in the mix, although i agree lowest chances, but the flyers also play ottowa boston and columbus still too.
Sens are 5 pts out 1st of all not 4. Looking at the remaining games, I think Pitts and Bos have it the hardest. Ottawa and Philly would have to get a miracle to get in. I say Pitts or Bos fall out and The Isles get in. Tampa wins the Division but get bounced 1st rd. Canes win the Conference and go to the conference finals.
My prediction: Columbus. That is, the Islanders will regain their playoff spot and both the Bruins and Wings take wild cards.
Don't get me wrong, Columbus has been on an absolute heater, but that HAS to rebound on them at some point.

Watching the habs fall has been hilarious. Hopefully they’re out of the playoffs come April 1st.
As a habs fan, every night is stressful with checking the standings, also Montreal has famously pissed away games that they should’ve won this year
Montral and Boston really need to get their game together soon. Montreal is such a surprise they are in this position, i thought they were well clear to be in but, they could very realistically be out by the end of Saturday. Crazy stuff
I think that hockey fans and hockey people so badly want the Red Wings to have finally turned the corner at this point that they are kind of overvaluing what is still a paper tiger of a team that is sort of coasting on vibes, I could easily see them being the odd man out because of a lack of general talent and overall depth.
Best playoff format.
No conferences. Just divisions. Schedule stays the same through regular season.
Top sixteen teams make the playoffs league wide, 1-16 seeding for the playoffs, no reseeding after the playoff tree is made.
This makes the regular season truely matter, literally every single game can effect season wide standings, you don't even have a guarantee that you make the playoffs even if you win your division… this also gives the greatest odds of every single round of the playoffs being epic.
Imagine a NYI vs NYR finals or a Toronto vs Vancouver first round match up…or detriot vs. Colorado in the 2nd round.
There's no holes in the logic of this format. NHL playoffs would not only be the most exciting but also the most talked about amoung the top4 n. American sports and easily the hardest trophy to win ever of all time hockey or any sport.
I would entertain there being a 3 game wild card round for 15 16 17 18 regular season finishers but it has to be 3 games in 3 nights and the playoffs start the next night.
Also, players would get paid extra for the playoffs, their own pro rated salaries for every playoff game their team plays seems fair.
Montreal hasn't been able to put on a good winning streak. Their defense sucks and is going to cost them the playoffs.
As a Boston fan, I have to say they have the toughest remaining schedule. I don't see the Bs making the Playoffs.

Penguins fan here who attends games.. I love Kris Letang he still has his legs and the dude plays physical.. sure there is the occasional turnover but overall he is still solid! And his numbers back that up he's a good Dman

If Montreal doesn't get points in their next game they drop below the Wings and Bruins already. They're all tied at 84 Habs just have a game in hand. If they don't convert that game into even one point they're in that last wild card spot instantly.
Habs are finding ways to lose and unfortunatly they will choke 🙁
