Ozzy Wiesblatt hit Leon Draisaitl, who’s leg hit the boards awkwardly in the process. Draisaitl went to the room, returned for two shifts to end the first period, and then left the game for good. Was Wiesblatt out of line here?

I mean…if it’s head injury which it kinda looks like it cuz of how drais head goes back on the arm follow through, then that is a dirty hit. Looks like Ozzy took a swing at him after too, right in front of the ref sitting on the boards, though I guess ref wasn’t looking directly at that play and was more focused on getting out of the way. If it’s lower body maybe Drai twisted/tweaked something on the hit. Preds have a few players like that, pests and guys that take liberties. Not complaining, it’s part of the game and those guys have to make a living too.
If anyone deserves it it is Leon "Elbows" Draisaitl

Doesn't look like the arm made actual contact or if it did I don't think it changed the outcome of the hit, Draisaitl just caught boards the weird when he hit them. Probably roughed up his ribs.

I would rather see them playing and not beating each other up on ice that's weak plus the potential brain injuries caused by those fights are horrific.

I wish the NHL would just say what the injury is like every other league. the "people might target it" is so lame. This isn't the 70s, and 2nd, the players already know exactly what's wrong. It's only the fans that are left guessing.
