Weird the St Louis GM stiffing a Hawks player. His team sucks so he’s not a very good judge of talent. Probably still pissed BedZ lacrossed his crappy team.
Bedard before the injury was top 5 in scoring playing with guys like Andre burakovsky, and Ryan Greene and was arguably a top 5 player itl. He’s taken a step back cause of the injury but put him on an actual good line he’s probably still top 5 even with the injury. The fact he didn’t make the initial roster is an absolute joke.
It's an obvious choice to pick Jarvis, someone who averages 2 minutes of PK time PER GAME when Bennett (someone who averages less then a minute of PK time per game) was chosen as a replacement for Cirelli (a top PK killer in the league). Bedard is not a PKer, he is not a bottom 6 player, so bottom 6 players getting injured wouldn't suddenly activate him. They clearly want to build a solid hockey team instead of just the best pure scorers on every line. Bedard is still not even taking faceoffs where his center gets kicked out of the dot, which probably speaks that he's still not 100%.

As a USA hockey and Blackhawks fan I am happy Bedard is not playing in the Olympics.
