Who cares about the Presidents trophy? The Stars just need a year where they dont have to face all the central juggernauts in the first 2 rounds. I have a hard time believing that if the oil and the Stars had swapped playoff paths the last 2 years, and series results were the same, the Oil wouldnt go both years. I'll be kind and give them the possibility of 1, but theres no other team (other than Colorado having to play the stars) that have suffered more from the playoff format.

Dallas is a good team but they nowhere had to play the gauntlet of teams in the east and especially the Atlantic. Give me a break. I mean just compare the wild card team points between the conferences. In the East both wildcard teams are above 80 points and in the West they can barely break 75 points. No. The competition is totally different from Conference to Conference. I'm betting if Colorado gets bumped from the playoffs that whatever team comes out of the East wins the Cup.
