Brutal loss. That third period was awful, very inconsistent. The power play was lifeless all game, idk what to say about that. The playoffs may be out of reach now, I don’t see them winning either game this weekend. Just a gut feeling I have, I hope I’m totally wrong of course. LGI
Lost too many puck battles. Too many 1 and done in the O zone. Just outplayed. Lucky it wasn’t 5-2. Squandering a point with 10 seconds left is inexcusable.
This is a night that could completely shift the mentality in that locker room. They lose with 11 seconds left and the 4 teams fighting for a playoff spot all gain 2 points. They fall out of a playoff spot on top of it. That’s a really really bad night to have this late in the season I just hope they don’t look down trodden next game.
Agree with all here Gil, this team has too many flaws. I'm not sure what the point is to making the playoffs. I see Columbus won. They have so many home games coming up..that tells you how many road games they have played. They have the Pens and the Jackets at home, that could be the deciders. Soucy and Horvath saved goals or it would not have been close. Schen has two goals now. He has been a nice addition. But they need to rebuild. Maybe it's a blessing if they don't make it.
Opponent was on a back to back, with travel, lost 2 defensemen to injury injuries, and started a goalie who was retired a month ago, and they lost. I am at a loss for words. I used all the 4 letter words earlier and I just don’t have any words left.
One shot on goal in the 3rd period (which ends up being a goal) is unacceptable. This team will not make the playoffs and, if it does, they will go out in 4 or 5 games in the first round.
Why is Duke playing instead of Gatcomb against a physical team? Again people praise Roy! Why? For what? Making poor decisions constantly? 2 fights in first what 2 minutes then we don’t have to play physical anymore for the remaining 58 minutes? Seriously? Give me Aitcheson ! He can’t be worse than traffic cone Mayfield! Beyond Frustrating! We don’t deserve a playoff spot if this is the way they want to play! Not a fan of Roy ! Sorry! Poor decision making
