This is a small move at a small price. 3rd line with Kasper and Finnie. 2nd unit PP and adds vet leadership. Doesn't move the needle much. But smart move.
On paper this looks like another miss by Yzerman. He is 37 and recovering from a hernia surgery. Regardless if he plays a game the Senators get a 4th round pick. Honestly if this is the only move Steve makes I’d consider moving on from him in the offseason if they miss the playoffs again.

My thoughts exactly Justin. This is a depth move, hopefully there can be more today. But one thing we do need is some more depth points and grit (sorry for the over used phrase)
