So , now like Jim Robson those of us who have been watching since 1970 will be dead or close to it before they become contenders again — the joke is sad — So , the local media talking point was " look at Petey he is back after his performance in the Olympics " . Damn he is sure dominating games since his return , RIGHT ?
The Canucks are screwed for the foreseeable future. It’s not the lack of young talent as much as the godawful cap management. So many overlong, over expensive money spent on a bunch of underachievers.They couldn’t have foreseen what happened to Pettersson but the money they’re spending on Boeser, DeBrusk et al. is ridiculous.
Happy for Myers. His mom lives in Texas. I think Dallas, not sure. His son has cerebral palsy, so doctors and medical.
Good for him. Short runway. Chance at a cup. A contract off the books. The 1.5m retention next year, probably isn't an issue as cap is going up, and the team will be young and cheap.

Once again, Frank Corrado brings experience and intelligence to the discussion. If I'm busy but I see Frank is a guest, I'm making time for this.
The real problem gets a free pass and the players who didn’t just forget how to play hockey are the scapegoat.
Entering the playoffs what.. two years ago, they had Horvat, Miller and Lindholm with Petey, Suter and the other guy down the middle. And they had Zadorov…that was IT. That, was the time. They got close but some players went cold and of course the Oilers won.
Since then..they went from the most center depth they've ever had, to ??? And Zadorov gone. Wtf!?!
Botched trades.
What were they thinking? Open market signings, DeBrusk, Kane? Now likely to be gone. Ok. They'll get picks… That's years away in an unknown.
Tanking teams, retooled, chomping at the bit with all kinds of money to poach glue guys like Sherwood.
Everything went wrong.
Now replacements, even the coach is uncertain.
Anyway, happy Myers gets a kick at the can on a legitimate team.

I remember Darryl Sutter in Calgary being told again and again that Iginla needed better players in order to be better. He responded with Jarome needs to be the better player and elevate the guys he's playing with.
Food for thought re: the princess. Jarome=hall of fame, Petterson=god I can't wait until he's gone.
Foote is not a coach. Let alone NHL coach. He sucked in the WHL. He’s been abysmal at the NHL.
Frank Myeres is gone sad to see after 7 years in Vancouver. But return could be good, one must think of rebuild. Canucks need two wings like O.Connor with size and strength we could turn this thing around. Garland migth be gone tomorrow same with Kane and Kampf. I hope club keep Blueger here.

Foote cannot coach his system. If he could, there would have been a little bump in their play post Olympic break and mini training camp.
