  1. There is still one American ahead of him… ridiculous that they ignore Hull because his dad is Canadian.

  2. Legends are born an the script couldn't have been more perfect. Even the 13-75 equaling to 88 is like the most perfect day.

  3. When his dad pointed out that 13 + 75 = 88, that blew my effin mind!!! How apropos that 1375 points would be the number of points needed for him to break the record.

  4. USA men's hockey team winning gold me know more about hockey, and the more i know about hockey, the more i am pulled in! congrats!

  5. My brother played with Patrick in US Selects all those years ago.. Patrick even then had hands. Coming from Cleveland or Buffalo wasn’t like coming out of Michigan or Penn, we were always the underdogs. Out of the 20,000 guys I played against, only 4 I know of and grew up playing tournaments with, ever made it to the NHL. Out of those 4, in 22 years playing, only 2 of those ever lasted longer than 2 seasons and only 1 of them made the main roster beyond those 2 seasons. It’s not only extremely hard to make it, it’s extremely hard to get a roster spot without injuries to the lineup allowing you a chance in. Patrick, had hands and while all the scouts jabbed at him about his height, he just smoked the competition. If you were behind Kane trying to catch him, you wouldn’t if you weren’t already an NHL player. If you thought you knew which direction his body was going his hips would tell you a different story. You couldn’t line him up and the hands that went with that high hockey IQ, is a gift. Well earned, well deserved. McDavid is my favorite player and I know he will never hold 3 cups in his entire career but you did.

  6. was just at west seneca the other day still got his jersey hung up he’ll forever be a usa and buffalo legend even though hes never played here professionally
