guess how many 5v5 goals Larkin has in the past 30 games? ONE. yet again he starts strong then falls apart (10 years straight). a real leader steps up when the team needs them most. he's streaky, weak and not captain material at all
When the leaders of your team are as soft as Larkin, Mo, and Ray, you are doomed. I said last year that Yzeryshoikd have traded Larkin and that season ending presser where Larkin cried about not getting help at the deadline, but the Yzerbots scoffed at the notion.
Fast forward another year and we are repeating the same old routine where the leaders of the team are invisible and have no heart.
That last PP was brutal to watch. How do you consistently lose puck battles with an extra guy. Nobody can move the puck to an open guy or protect the puck. DP’s skating isn’t great but the dude is a beast along the wall and I’m not seeing anyone else capable of that right now. If MBN scored at the start of the year they would’ve happily burned his ELC so do it now.
No one can finish. Not even the guys who are supposed to be stars. At least 4 breakaways and can't bury any of them. Kane has absolutely lost his clutch factor this year
