He's a good depth piece and a good replacement for Perron/Giroux/Amadio next year, but he doesn't fill a glaring need imo, unless they figure he'll be valuable killing penalties. I would have preferred a dman, but the prices were likely too high. Plus, let's face facts. The sens are a top 10-12 team in the league, if they could just get average or decent goaltending. Our hopes are totally reliant on Ullmark, and that makes me nervous based on his inconsistencies. Sens need to go 15-7, or possibly even 16-6 to make the playoffs. He needs to start earning his money now!
