Cole Smith is just 30?!
I agree with this. I think our GM is starting to panic. These next upcoming trades he makes if there is any can either make or break this team. We don't have a lot of draft picks left especially for the next two years. This team is not a Stanley Cup team if he was smart he would just shape up the roster but he wouldn't go all in. This team is nowhere near close to his Stanley Cup at least this season. Next season you can go all in. But I think guys like Kolesar, Barbashev, Anderson, Smith, and Holtz can all go. We have to focus on extending Dorofyev and Schmid. Those guys are going to get paid and they're going to take at least $4 million each I think. So with that being said we can't just ship out these high contracts to a lot of our USA's. Dorofyev, Bowman, and Schmid CANNOT be a part of any deal we make. We can make any other trades but those three guys have to stay those three guys are our feature and I hope our GM realizes that. A lot of these veterans on our team are not putting up what they are worth on their contract. We need to go younger enough with these old veterans. These three guys need to stay everybody else is available. Start collecting draft picks. The next season slashing the offseason is when you go all in and you use the draft picks you accumulated and you trade those draft picks and you go all in. We do not need to panic. We are not a championship team Just get this roster ready for next season is what I would focus on.

VGK needs a shooters and scorers. No more passers first. A proven entity. Someone with good accuracy that can put the puck in the net and not hit the goal post 3 times in a game. Nobody goes to the front of the net anymore. No one gets greasy in front of the net. Never forget that management traded away Suzuki for a short term Pacioretti. Suzuki would be extremely valuable to our team today. Trades coming with Vancouver coming next.😂

VGK traded for what it can afford, no more draft picks , not much on the farm and the players on the team that are tradeable are not worth much (Saad, Smith, Lauren etc).
I'm not buying Tony's trade only with successful teams theory. How successful was Ottawa and Buffalo?
