The San Diego Gulls earned a 5-4 shootout win over the Colorado Eagles on Friday night. San Diego built a 2-0 first-period lead behind a shorthanded goal from Nathan Gaucher and a late power-play tally from Nico Myatovic, then rallied in the third with Gaucher’s second of the night and a clutch goal from Justin Bailey with 26 seconds left to force overtime. After a scoreless OT, Judd Caulfield netted the lone shootout goal as Calle Clang stopped all five Eagles attempts to secure the victory.
