Connor Murphy. The only Murphy I know of is legendary defenseman Larry Murphy. Hall of Famer. This Murphy, however, I don't know. The Edmonton Oilers need a Bobby Clarke type of player if you ask me. Leadership on this team is non-existent. I would like to see the goaltending save percentage for the Oilers in the first 30 minutes of regulation versus the last 30 minutes of regulation. It must be something like 0.700 / 0.920. It's ridiculous. Even if the puck and net were the same size, the Oilers goalies couldn't stop a beachball, but only in the first 30 minutes. Nobody talks about it. Check it out, I didn't calculate it, but I have seen a trend now.
Being he’s a UFA after this season, his time here might be short, but if he can contribute by getting this team into the playoffs it’s a trade that’s worth every penny. He just needs to be ready for the blender.
