Another Connor! We want ALL the Connors! lol. I like the trade, but i feel bad for Murph, as he will get stuck with Boat Anchor Nurse.
I personally like a top pair of Walman-Bouch to provide insane offence, and then pairing Murphy with a good puck-mover but also defensively responsible partner in Ekholm. Then you can limit Nurse’s minutes on the 3rd pair. Have a solid offensively focused 1st pair and a great shutdown 2nd pair.

I don't like the deal. A 2nd round pick for 2 months of a player in their mid 30's service time is not a good trade.

Very happy to see this deal done, good for both sides. It'll push Statsney out but that is a very good 7th guy to have in case of injuries. Still need that "Paul Coffey" effect to kick in and hopefully this helps.

Broberg, Holloawy, Brown and Perry are better than Murphy, Frederik, Mangaipane. Oilers 2 years ago were better than last years team and last years team is better than this years team. Oiler fans are hoping McDavid and Draisaitl can carry the dead weight, It can not happen. My only wish for next year is Nurse is sent to the press box and keep him there until either his contract expires or he agrees to a trade.There is no final 4 in the last 3 years here for McDavid. Want him hoist the cup. Please Oiler fans urge McDavid to seek the cup elsewhere. If he stays for the full three years the Oilers will take 10 plus years to rebuild. No picks. No prospects and a bunch of great players at the end of their careers. If the Oilers want to make another run this year they need move Nurse, Trent, Andrew and Jarry and that is impossible.

Blackhawk fan. Trust me, this will not bode well for the Oilers. Blackhawk nation is glad Murphys gone. Got tired of his play. He's also a Stan Bowman protégé. Bowman ruined the Blackhawk Stanley Cup teams as GM. Haven't Oiler fans noticed a decline in performance since Bowman started making moves there?? Rest of hockey world has. I personally don't see Edmonton making it out of 2nd round in the playoffs. If they make playoffs.

Should have kept Kulak. I realize they needed the move for salary cap reasons but he was more valuable than the return.
Was really disappointed with the Skinner trade and lost a lot of faith in Bowman but this trade at least gives us a fighting chance to save the season. I'm not sure if we'll see any more moves by the deadline but hopefully we can maybe get a winger too.
Nurse has been brutal. Need to figure out a way to nix the no trade clause. 9 million flushed straight down the crapper.
About time the Oilers get an actual defenseman, too many offensive ones, and Nurse who should never wear an oilers jersey again

He played PK1 on the best PK team in the league, right handed, he's big and is slightly cheaper than Kulak but we won't know if this is a win till the playoffs.

I expect still one more deal. Is it a winger or a 3C I guess only time will tell. On Murphy I like the element he bring to our dcore. He adds toughness (you don’t need to constantly drop the gloves to be hard to play against). Defensively he’s about as solid as you can get and is great on the pk. Overall I like the deal but I still want another piece added to the squad.

So we basically traded Skinner, kulak, and 2 second round picks for Jarry and Murphy.
Feels like we gave up 2 2nds, took on an extra 2 mil in cap and got worse.
