4 am game here so I watched the highlights or lowlights . Ingram had the keystone cops for defense. The team is back playing to the levels of the apponents not their own skill set.Predictable passes and plays. Savoie still looking good and nice setup to Fredric. Skinner and Kulac dearly missed. Mismanagement need to be replaced. They have created the current mess.

I don't think Tyler Myers has been traded yet. I think he wants to stay close to Vancouver where his family is. Edmonton is not that far away. I think he'd be a nice add on defense. Dylan Holloway just recorded his second hat trick of the season. Good for him!! Always rooting for him. Can still feel the strong, cold wind blowing through the hole in the roster that still remains after he left. And don't you just love Macklin Celebrini? Isaac Howard is the best trade chip.

Nurse has got to go. He can’t play defense at the NHL level. His Hockey IQ is nonexistent and his on ice play showcases this the most.
I think you should discuss how the defensive woes could be a big part of they are being asked to cover too much area. Everytime we get the puck we try to turn it into a fast break. Soon as we get the puck everyones on going. On the offense. Maybe its stretching the area to cover too much and too often. A lot of teams goals when 5 on 5 is to get it into the zone , forecheck work it around in the zone like a powerplay. If possible. We go on fast breaks that eithet benefit or stretch everyone out too thin.
We also arent hard to play against physically. Even Podkolzin isnt hitting. I thought walman was more gritty and tougher. He can be. Besides walman and sometimes nurse and Ekholm, out defense isnt that tough. While we have some scrappy forwards like hyman none of the forwards have huge size and hit. Obviously Friedrich was supposed to be that guy.
We just aren't tough enough. And perhaps our offense is creating too many holes by going on the offense too hard.
We used to be the young fast team to beat people in these type games. We arent that team as much anymore. We need to learn to win 3-2 like when we were going to the finals

When your best player is Bouchard, that’s a red flag. Everyone turned pucks over, including him, and that tunnel vision doesn’t kill offense, it kills your defense and leads to big giveaways.
And ripping Nurse is pointless. His contract isn’t movable. He’s an asset you can’t get rid of, so the only real option is to figure out how to use him properly and get him playing the way the team needs.

The defensive effort again is embarrassing. Darnell Nurse’s head is clearly not in it and he’s hurting us more than he’s helping us. Not only that, Jake Walman has to play with him, carry him and look just as bad, by default.

Hi Patrick and all Oilers from Germany. I supported my team this night and watched the hole game. And what did I saw? SLAPSTICK nothing but SLAPSTICK?!!
Goalie went for his stick out of the goal, defense lost puck, empty net goal😮😮. Back pass into the slot to goalie, TipKick in front of Ingram ended with puck tumbled in goal. Up to this unlucky with 29 shot 10 sec before end of game did hit the bar. So nothing new in oilers world, offense effective, passing shit, defense SLAPSTICK unlucky, in important situations without luck (Draisaitls Powerplay shot at the bar). Patrick you asked why we didn't win by scoring 17 goals in 3 games? Same as over years, goalies. Defense, all weight of the team on 3 shoulders (97,29,2). Connor can't score goals at the moment, Draisaitl sometimes unlucky unlucky in shooting, Bouchard only looking for offense!, Hyman and Nuge under their performance possibilities. If your goal getters do have problems we are not compatible!!! I said get Seider and Swayman. You need a constant good goalie without blackouts in your game, AND you need a defender like Seider for Control your own slot and a good first pass !!!

Comprehensive massive fix. Get replacements for Mangiapane, Henrique, Frederic, an nurse. Mostly, get rid of Nurse. Oh no trade clause? Bench nurse’s ass till he waives it. If knob won’t do it, get rid of knob, if bowman wont do it, get rid of bowman.
