Angry Jeff Thomson Gets The Batsman Clean Bowled After A Drop Catch

In this video, I narrated the incident when Geff Thomson was angry because the fielder had dropped the catch off his bowling and then he took the matter into his own hands and got the other batsman out clean bowled. #cricket #jeffthomson #fastbowling #cricketshorts

  1. He had a kind of slinger bowling action very unusual those days. That gave him that extra yard of pace undoubtedly. 😊 😏 🇮🇳

  2. First of all during Jeff Thompson style the speed of recorded at the batsman a
end and unlike during Shoaib akhtar's time the speed of the ball was recorded at the bowling end so definitely Jeff Thomson is much faster

  3. I'm guessing by the narrative this is for Americans who know very little about cricket. Thompson was lightning quick in the 70s at his peak.

  4. The best way to tell who was fastest is to have a split screen and the bowlers release the ball at the same time and then pause it when the first ball gets to the batsman

  5. Thommo was clocked at 160.45 kmh at a test at the WACA in 1975. Given this was the only time he was measured in a game, it's reasonable to assume that he bowled at least 1 ball faster than Akhtar's quickest (161.3). So we can confidently say that Thommo was the fastest bowler ever at his peak

  6. Thommo says himself they use to measure the speed when the ball hits the bowler not coming out to the hand
After a bounce it slows down 15-10 km apparently and he was clocked at 160km
