    Jake Walman was AWFUL. Darnell Nurse just happened to be stuck on the ice with him. Walman skated by Ingram's dropped stick then turned the puck over for the first goal. Walman then decided not to tie his man up and tapped the puck towards his goalie, ending up in the next goal. At some point, folks will need to start actually watching these games. You also don't care that the top pairing gave up the GWG with 97, on the ice puck-watching.

    Maple Leafs are a case study for why you don't put all your eggs in the "playoff style roster" basket, because teams like that have a knack for missing the playoffs.

    So Pettersson has a no trade so he controls where he goes. Malkin said he always wanted to be a Red Wing growing up and probably a better fit then Pettersson. Vincent Trocheck to Tampa for Curtis Douglas and a conditional first. OEL to Edmonton for Nurse and a conditional second.

    I see Hildeby as the Leafs best goalie and have done so for most of the season.
    Stolarz should have been sent to the Marlies for conditioning! I was shocked when he returned after being out most of the season and not one game with them before returning!!

    If I was making decisions Stolarz would be going Woll and Hildeby would get the job and the start would be Hildeby's to lose.
    As far as assets for this team, Dubas and Shanahan did generational damage to this team's asset cupboard. I was shocked when I took a close look at what those two sent out and what they were able to get back in the deals that were made where the vast majority of players acquired for all the talent that left were rentals they knew they couldn't resign/keep.

    I blame team ownership at the time (Tannenbaum etc) for allowing those two inexperienced fools to continuously pillage the future season after season for very little long term gain and only passing the first round ONCE! The damage those two did was unconscionable!

    Can't Fit a Square Peg In a Round Hole. Leafs were never built to play Berube's style going back to Dubas and their Country Club Atmosphere. Matthews looked fast and alert from his Olympic Experience, while the rest of the players looked like they quit on their coach.

    Maybe Berube really tore em a new one long ago because what I saw tonight was a team that was finally trying to move the puck quicker, which was great, until they kept turning it over, one after the other. Too many guys are trying to overskate with the puck either trying to protect it making a play they shouldn't make instead of making that assertive pass or taking that assertive shot once in scoring position or simply just trying to make something happen in the ozone. But tonight they were having problems just getting ozone time…Too many self-inflicted turnovers in transition – just caughing up the puck right after just recovering it…So, for me I think it's the puck movement and the unwillingess to go with the flow of the game and trying to get each other a look in the ozone and trying to get quality shots on net and they can't even do that right now. Berube's right – in reference to his post game comments.

    I cant believe that they haven't fired berube! Hes a specific type of coach and if players dont fit then this is what you get.

    Berube is a square peg in a round hole in Toronto…never should have put him or the team in this spot…they should call Jay woodcroft…

    Hi Mike, as for Malkin, this makes absolutely no sense to me. Where can a team get a 2C who is at 46 points in 42 games, clicking with Chinakhov, and is willing to take less $$$ 🤔 He would take 5$mill on a 1 year. Why would Dubas & co do that unless…..he has some sort of plan to go after another center in the off-season that fits his plans for the next 10 years or so…. I can't see who??? Unless he goes all in on Thomas from the Blues, but that's going to cost a ton!!
