  1. MacKinnon has a turnover problem. And someone needs to say something. Nobody is talking about it, it isn't being addressed. It is getting worse as the season passes. These guys also just pas the puck instead of shooting. What happened to the shoot first mentality that was there in 2022?

  2. No clue why Chicago is playing Nazar at C with Moore on his wing. Moore's a much better defender and Faceoff guy.

  3. Sure, the Avs eventually win tonight against a poor Chicago team but they were awful against Minnesota the other night and were bad before the Olympic break too. Does anyone think the team is far too one-dimensional / heavily dependent upon MacKinnon? They constantly set up their offensive plays through him…it’s far too predictable – the good teams that can, simply shut him down to win, as it makes the Avs look out of ideas when he’s not able to command the ice. I liked the way the team played against Utah without him – they all stepped up and were unpredictable too!
Obviously, not saying Mack should be dropped – this is all on the coaching team – the power play has sucked for almost two seasons now due to predictable plays but looked decent against Utah, when Mack was unavailable as it forced the team to try new plays. The Avs are also a team that can outshoot their opponent most matches too but far too often get “goalied” or almost “goalied” – this tells me that shot selection across the team is awful too. Determination, adaptability and depth wins cups – they have two of three but need to get away from predictable one-man / one-dimensional plays. It cost them last season and will cost them again.
A smart and adaptable offensive coach would have won this team multiple cups over the last few seasons…

  4. Hawks are so limited in skill. Thought they could protect a fluke 1-0 lead with their defense, lol.
