Not gonna lie, my favorite part of this game (which was blacked out in my area), was that Florida welcomed and recognized Matthew Tkachuck for the Olympic gold medal….. in front of the (Canadian) Toronto Maple Leafs. Sure, Auston Matthews is American, and yeah, Marchy is Canadian, and got to get back on the ice WITH Matthew Tkachuk, but yeah….. "Way to bring home the AMERICAN gold, boys."

I wonder if Leaf's asked Matthews if he would take a trade what his answer would be? If yes, they might be able to get quite a "lot" for him with 1st round draft picks and a decent player.. However, i feel sorry for the player who get's traded 🙂

I was tolerant with the changes in the offseason because it was tabled as "don't worry, we will sacrifice some wins during the regular season to be more effective in the playoffs" WELP we sure did sacrifice a few games for NOTHING. Its almost time to sit Morgan Reilly until he cries and demands a trade

I blame the hollow men of the board room – Berube, Treliving and Pelley. They are a parasitic class of risk free insiders. They fail constantly and just move, they need something of theirs on the line for it to be successful
Steve I have only been watching your channel for the last 6 years. I know you were doing videos for many years before the 9 year playoff streak. How did you approach the game then? I know you are disappointed with the team's direction but it is going to be much worst before it gets better and you can't blow a gasket. I enjoy your channel, even when the Leafs win, and want you to stay healthy.
It will get worst because of the albatross NMCs. Matthew and Nylander will either have to be resigned for extraordinarily high salaries or they will walk for nothing. Reilly, even if he agrees to waive his NMC, has no value. The best performing player on the team is Tavares and how long can this senior citizen be expected to produce? Finally the team has no first round draft picks for the next two years. The players the team wants to trade will bring minimal returns. It is very difficult to see how the Leafs don't continue to sink in the standings for several years.
I think they should put skates on the video review team and let them take a shot at trying to win the games. And for god sakes, please give your goaltender some help!!!! Woll is a great goalie but they abandon him every time he’s in net. He deserves a better team in front of him.

Get use to it Steve, we're missing the playoffs for at least 3 years in a row. They have nothing to bargain with. No prospects worth mentioning, more 4th liners and 3rd pairing dmen. No draft picks, 3 this year, very late ones. If you're a GM, there's nobody on this roster that jumps up at you at the deadline that you would give first round picks for, not one. OEL is almost 35, he's making your team older and slower, nobody's that stupid we know he's going downhill. McMann's a 3rd liner at best, where else would he play on the first line??? Tavares sucks by the way he's got a worse +- than Rielly…-20.

First step. Bench Rielly til he agrees to a trade. Get a fish and a book for him. Enjoy the cap space. Trade Robertson. He's been wanting to go, but should get more back than what you got for Rielly. Keep McMann. Whatever draft capital with Laughton Carlo Macelli, should be at least a first rounder somewhere in there.
In two games, the offside video review has saved them as many goals as they have scored. For a team that prides itself on offence, its clear you have to sell the entire bench. No one should be safe. 7:47
