Here in Nova Scotia we are super duper proud of Sid , Nathan and Brad. Sid played and trains just a couple kms from our home so I got the chance to see his first Stanley Cup parade!!

Here’s my take on the Canadian Olympic team. When I heard a month before the Olympics that Crosby had a lower body injury and might not make the Olympics, Crosby should have sat this one out at 38 years old. He already had a gold from Vancouver. This time was McDavid’s time to shine. Florida panthers had 4 players between Canada and the US. McDavid should have had his wingman, Zach Hyman, instead of an injured Crosby. I can guarantee if Zach, the #1 point player in the NHL since December,,was playing alongside Connor, Canada would have on the gold metal. Too bad for politics. Crosby, you should have bowed out with your lower body injury and McDavid would have been captain tue whole time. Do you know how sick I was of constantly hearing the commentators saying too bad Crosby was injured, during game play.
As an American citizen I have to say, this guy definitely is a classy person. He will be a great addition to the United States when we make Canada the 51st state. One person that we won’t take is Doug Ford. When the annexation does happen, he’s going to have to be exiled to some remote island or something.
Professional players shouldn't be in the Olympics. These guys have a professional contract and if they get hurt they end up breaking it. The Penguins are very fortunate that he wasn't injured worse. All of the teams took a risk. Imagine if the summer Olympics allowed professional football players… Remember how these pros get in trouble from their organizations when they get hurt out skiing or just screwing around. They get paid a lot of money. You can do the Olympics when you are in college or if you don't make the pro leagues.
