We’re going over the idea of winners and quitters, and how some NHL superstars had left Canadian markets for the States.
We’ll be discussing Quinn Hughes, Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, and Mark Stone.

Quinn finally smiled 😂
Your unqualified to speak on winners
So when do Canadian team fans and media realize over scrutinizing the star players is toxic.
I have been defending EP40 since the start. So not all Canadian fans are toxic. 😑
Connor mcsilver is the real loser here
This has gotta be your worst take yet Lego… I normally live your content, but I think at this point, you might be kinda clouded by your beef with Quinn.
The media are not "the fans" and that's been especially true since the Olympics. All of the sour grapes and poor losing we're seeing expressed currently is totally unhinged. Everything from accusations of cheating to blaming the rules and complaining about the US celebration afterwards. It really looks pathetic. It's a great moment in time and those casting shade are simply haters. Join the party or shut up and move on.
I would say the Devils were not that friendly to Jack and Luke not very long ago. Not just a Canada thing.
Brady won't be on Ottawa too much longer.
The fans likely won't tolerate his mediocrity anymore.
Not after revealing his anti Canada sentiment and magat views
Brings to mind the old saying, you think you hate the media, you can never hate the media enough
You are so wrong on this one. The media is absolutely awful. I don’t blame any of them for leaving.
Lol, stay mad
Lego-The movie Miracle on Ice,one of the last player's cut on that 1980 team was Jack Hughes. I Googled it to see if true, and it shows Jack Hughes was cut off the actual team, not just in the movie, say what! Then 46 years to the day of the Miracle on Ice,Jack Hughes scores the golden goal against Canada. How is this possible?Destiny!!!
Anyone notice Gretzky has been totally silent since the game? 😂
No when the players are blaming the media they’re blaming the media. The players that left did for many reasons. The cost of living and taxes in Canada is terrible but keep voting for your liberals and try mocking Magats you will never see a Stanley Cup in your country again. Go ahead and keep blaming everyone else.
I guess based on the Toronto media narrative Canada lost because of the toxic Canadian media and fans. Too much pressure i guess.
and here in the US people are crying that the mens team went to the white house……
Toronto media is toxic, a lot of Canadian media is toxic. I don't listen to them.
Media wannabe defends the media to cope with losing gold and Quinn
This is a false narrative created from the mind of Sid from Ice Age looking ash. He is reaching like crazy. Marner wanted nothing more than to win in Toronto but the fans ran him out of town. Stone was on a doo doo Ottawa team that didn't want to pay him what he wanted so he jumped ship. Auston is still committed to winning in Toronto but he might be the next to get run out of town. And for Quinn Hughes, I think he's still a Canuck if the team didn't become a dumpster fire. It was also very known he wanted to be closer to his family so🤷♂ All in all, I find it funny for a country that's been feminized and full of soy boys how hard they are on their hockey players. If only the people were that hard on their leaders maybe the country would be in a better place🤷♂
Some of the reasons cited by players to want to play in US is less media, less people know you on the street (can live more normally), and the big one is they make more money, and I think in Florida, taxed less. That's why the lightning and Panthers have had good runs lately. It's a shame, but I can understand the first point about wanting a smidge of anonymity. I don't understand the money thing, like at which point is enough money enough money. The stars of the poorest Canadian teams make millions upon millions, so I don't get the money thing.
Marner is canadien
We lost by one goal and played a better game than the yanks. Relax! Moving forward we will continue to win more games than we lose and that's fine. Stop beating a dead horse!!!!
I dont know why Canada is so surprised.
The best goalie always wins. Jeeeez….
Just place your anger at the real issue. Aquaman and the toxic Vancity Media.
Heat is like pressure. Heat is not toxicity… Thats what yalls media and fanbases dont seem to understand. Toxicity is more like abuse than heat… Who wants to deal with that, especially if you dont have to?
Trash take
Canada fans throw the stars under the bus way too conveniently!
Matthews should get outta Toronto. Ask for a trade. A winner wouldn't stay in that hostile environment called Toronto. Same for Jack. As much as I like the devs, the management has run that franchise into the ground. Get traded to the wild and reunite with your brother.
Did you ever think that the problem with Canadian franchises not winning is because they know they have a captive audience, so as long as the franchises are somewhat competitive the fans will continue to fill seats. Where as American sports franchises in most cities are competing for the fans money, you don't win, you don't sell tickets. I think NHL players realize this and know if they want to win a Cup their best chance is on a US franchise. The issue isn't the players, it's the Canadian franchises, which is why so many star players leave Canada and win titles in the US.
Didn’t take Hughes long to become another american
Hughes was in Vancouver for 7.5 years. How is that "a big chunk" of his career?
The only management I really trust going forward in Canada is Montreal.
