  1. All this good work Dubas has done could be undone by trading picks to chase a cup we are never going to win.

  2. Kulak has a solid playoff record and will help the Avs a lot down the stretch, but yeah, Dubas fleeced MacFarland

  3. This move was made to clear salary cap to bring Logan O'Connor back. The pick hurts but the window is open for the Avs. Swapping 3rd pair defensemen only makes sense to save money.

  4. Avs got a bigger Dman that can PK and skates almost as well. That takes hopefully takes some minutes from Makar and gives Malinski a more reliable partner. After watching Samwise get destroyed in the playoffs, this move is encouraging ti Avs fans. Plus the extra cap space not only this year, but next season as well. Wishing Girard nothing but success moving forward, but this move was needed by the Avs. I see it as a 1 for 1, with the 2nd thrown in for cap reasons.

  5. "Trade deadline is on my(Ecks) birthday, March 6th."
"If you don't wish me a happy birthday, Brad Marchand will be under your bed on the 7th biting your ankles."
    LMAO

  6. Malinski made G expendable and we mainly need a tougher more defensive guy. BTW Girard is really good with his stick and decisions so I'm not knocking him. But the Avs can get equally decent defense and save cap space to potentially load up with one more forward before trade deadline

  7. Oilers fans were outraged last time I claimed Bowman got fleeced by Dubas. Helping Penguins to get out of a bad contract without making Dubas give up assets is considered a W for the Oilers

  8. Yall don’t understand how terrible Gerard is. He’s literally the cause of a goal a game when he plays if not more. Dubas didn’t fleece anyone Girard shouldn’t be in the league. As someone who’s been forced to watch him for way too long he genuinely is the worst defenseman I’ve ever watched play in the nhl

  9. Kulak is a very underrated player. He’s been to 3 cup finals. He elevates his play in playoffs. Sly move win win trade!
