Boomer, Pinder, and Rhett react to the breaking news that the Pittsburgh Penguins have traded Brett Kulak to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Samuel Girard and a 2028 second-round pick as NHL trade season officially begins following the Olympic break. The guys break down what this move means for both teams, why Colorado targeted Kulak, what Pittsburgh gains by acquiring Girard and future assets, and how this deal could impact the Avalanche’s push toward the playoffs. They also discuss Kulak’s fit in Colorado’s lineup, the bigger picture for both organizations, and whether this is just the first domino to fall ahead of the NHL trade deadline.

Girard was one of the reasons they lost to Dallas in Game 7. Colorado imo needed a more solid defender.
Probably can’t wipe the smile off Kulaks face. He deserves the massive team upgrade.
