The Rangers have wasted enough ice time & a roster spot on Rempe. If Rempe returns next season he should stay in the AHL till he proves that he belongs in the NHL or doesn't.

If punching bag Rempe and Edstrom are considered pieces of the team moving forward… the Rangers are going to be BAD for a long time!!

Because Rangers can't afford to hire good personnel like GM coaches trainers player development or scouts. All they do is have Drury kiss booboo to make it better
Rempe should have been playing in the AHL for experience until his thumb healed; now it would be wiser to sit him for the season. There are several fighters in the AHL who could have been brought up – but obviously Dreary's 'vision' is one of a soft team that doesn't react when its goalies are run and injured or its rookies are mugged.
Rempe, Edstrom and Carrick were an effective 4th line and could be again – but since Carrick has a reasonable contract,hits, leads, fights and scores – in Dreary 'vision' Sam has to go. Maybe a 4th and 5th round pick who will never see the NHL.
I like Matt and his heart playing. When he came back, you can tell he wasn't 100%. I like what the 4th line does for the team. 4 cups in 100 years, I at least want to see opponents get checked.
He's still playing because morons run this team. The proof is that it's gotten to the point where both the Rangers and Wolfpack are in last place. This is an original 6 team. How can you be that shortsighted to allow this and then when it's too late respond with knee-jerk reactions that alienates players from the bosses.
It's been painful to watch knowing it would have only take mild intelligence to avoid being in this place we are now, granted players get hurt, others underperform but this has been the most mismanaged team, especially after Gorts and JD were canned aruably in all of professional sports. I'm hoping this offseason I get proven wrong…
Matt Rempe is a fourth liner in the AHL. Send him to Hartford and leave him there!!

How would anyone know if Matt Rempe's thumb is hindering his play? The guy can't stick handle, pass or shoot the puck at all.
