Check out Thomas Harley’s footwork here on this goal. He starts around center ice by top of cirlces in great D positioning. As he gets the puck he crosses over all the way to the back of the zone and notice where his feet and stick are — feet are outside of the zone which gives him that much more space between him and the defending winger. Another key point D – its not always how hard your shot is from the point but how quickly you can release it. Harley does a great job at finding the lane and geting the puck to the net quickly.
