This retool is a mirage with a dysfunctional front off ice & organizational chaos like the Rangers have. GMs overspend & make a lot of bad decisions in the Free Agency period & I see Drury doing the same in his retool in the offseason. FA is not what it used to be with teams resigning their important players at a feverish rate. I hope that rumor that Gavrikov wants out is not true, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was. Any workplace requires integrity & trust in leadership,& the hockey locker room is a workplace. Drury lost all credibility with the players when he pulled that dirty trick on Barclay Goodrow. It was & is still all downhill from there. I was never a big fan of Trouba, but his playing circus music to the Rangers when they were visiting encapsulates management dysfunction.
Rather get as many pieces as possible then offload all of them for Robertson and Tkachuk bc lord knows the rangers can’t develop

With the raise in the cap, why exactly do any of the upcoming NHL free agents want to come to an AHL team? They can sign big deals with their own club or a team with far better chances of being in the playoffs each year. I think we have to remember with the cap going up, and the current political state in New York City, that the Rangers are not a destination anymore. Westchester County is a heavily taxed area if you have a family. If we get one bottom six player we should consider ourselves extremely lucky. 🏒

I think considering the rumors that were surrounding the Rangers and Kiefer Sherwood along with the rumors of Trocheck getting significant interest in Minnesota, Ryan Hartman could be part of the package coming back seeing as he's similar to a guy like Sherwood. Throw in Raddysh + Vak + Sheary for Trenin & Middleton. Trenin > Raddysh, Brod, Sheary all day and plays as physical as Cuylle. Maybe package Laf + Schneider + Brod for Lowry, Perfetti, & Stanley
This video is DUMB! The Rangers need a MASSIVE shakeup starting with the owner and working down to player development. Most Stanley cup teams are built through the farm system, NOT through free agency.
