He Said WHAT?! Tristan Jarry’s Brutally Honest Comments After Oilers’ 7–3 Loss to Wild 😳

Tristan Jarry did NOT hold back Saturday night, and honestly… you’ve got to hear this. After being pulled following five goals on 20 shots in the Oilers’ 7–3 loss to the Minnesota Wild, Jarry called out the team’s defensive play and how it’s making his job harder in net.

We cover:
Jarry’s full post-game comments and why they hit so hard
Whether he crossed the line calling out the team’s defense
The numbers behind his rough night and recent play

  1. No no, don't make excuses for the defense. Jarry made good saves in that game, but when you face so many quality shots from the slot and from the front of the net, you're gonna let some in, even if they look kinda soft

  2. Imagine blaming the goalie then getting a new goalie and still blaming the goalie. The Oilers are a joke and its time we just say it. The Shark and Blackhawks look like more promising teams than the Oilers.

  3. Is Jarry the answer to for the oilers No. but it is true they need to tighten up. When the oilers where on their winning streak they focused on tight D and the scoring came in second. 2-1 games are still 2 points

  4. Completely justified by jarry, this team has gone through 4 goalies they are on their second tandem this season alone and we’re not even halfway through I’m not saying that goaltending is completely blameless but the team has to be better in front of their goalies

  5. From a Pittsburgh fan I was waiting for this to happen 😂 say what you want about Skinner, he's leagues better than Jarry. Jarry as I've said for YEARS is a backup goalie at best. Edmonton you need to find a starting goalie , I promise you Jarry isn't the guy even if you fix your defense.

  6. Ahhhhh so Skinner was NEVER THE PROBLEM 🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOSERS! You people are losers! You went after him and his family for absolutely nothing. Especially you Oilers Nation. Yall are absolute losers

  7. So Jarry says it and you dog pile on him….. yet McDavid said the same thing in his interview and not one word about it. The defensive play is absolutely horrible. And, while your guy Bouchard is playing great offensively, he causes as many goals against as he gets. You always bring up stats that are based on his offensive play. How about his turnovers? how about how many of his turn overs are when he is under pressure and lead to grade A chances in the WORST possible times? They need to stop kissing his ass and get a defensive trainer to work specifically with him. We can afford to lose a little offence if it means he gets better at defending. If he can't improve his defence, make him a forward and get a 100% defensive guy

  8. Thay played a good team that came hard and thay made us pay for it tell then bush it off move on to the next game we fine no point trying to hit a painic button

  9. Don't mean to be rude, but can we get the middle commentator a better camera or internet connection? Not sure what the problem is, but its pretty jarring and kinda makes me nauseous when he's in the same frame as the other 2 who seem to get a solid framerate then him in the middle lagging all over the place.

  10. He’s showing leadership- calling out the oilers team defense which has been their biggest weakness for the last 5 years.

If the goalie can’t call out his poor performing D – then who can.

I’ve been saying this a long time. The Oilers can’t win a cup with both Nurse & Bouchard on the team. Their combined cap hit is too much for guys who are leaky defensively. Problem is – Nurse is the one to trade , it no one will be interested with his cap hit. There in lies their problem.

Guarantee- they will show up against the Maple Leafs and win- due to Jarry calling them out. So well done Jarry.

  11. this D core is garbage. 2 players aren't even NHL caliber. they are only there cause their salaries fits under the cap cause EDM overpay for players.

  12. clearly the fact Edm Coach, Mgt, Leadership, Players…… all smooth over any accountability. kind of all conspiring to slip one over on the paying public.
they all want to keep the gravy train going… Bowman was unhirable from his ethics & poor performance in Chi… jJackson was not a GM… & this old boys stuff is a serious problem in Edm & Cda. The mgt & scouts are poor, but there is no accountability as long as public pays…. Some of Bowman/Jackson deals seem problematic for team future; Coach is soft/weak on accountability or structure, D is weak nurse, stillman, emberson, walman, stastney, yet walman now signed for 7x$7m, $9.25mNurse, & Bouch at 10.5m w his errors is a real problem. Shipping out Stetcher,Kulak,Holloway,Broberg & jSkinner/Arvidsson/Brown/Perry to sign Frederics $3.8mx8 and Mangiopane 3.9×2 are serious problems… Jarry is expensive at $5.375m… Howard/Tomasek etc seem to have been flops…. forcing McD to play PK. Emberson/Stastney are not nhL D. There are concerns that few are willing to discuss or bring up… so in Edm we loyally support our mgt & stay w old habits…

  13. Both Skinner and Jarry are back up goaltenders at best. All we did was change the goalie style of play, we did not improve the quality

  14. If the team can’t take honest and correct feedback then they are not going to improve.

  15. WHAT!? NO! Stu was the problem, and now Jarry is the problem!
Our offense and the 6 orange cones are perfect! They went to 2 Stanley Cup finals! Jarry doesn't know anything!

  16. Jarry is bang on. Goaltending has never been the issue this year. The Oilers need to get organized defensively. They are horribly inconsistent out of the gate in games and locking things down defensively.

  17. Let's bring Stu back as whatever, he'll take the blame.
Keeping a player that possess a hard shot, that generally has an unmolested position to shoot from. Doesn't make him a superstar.
Let's take away those easy goals and see his stats.
He doesn't go into enemy territory, doesn't rush with lighting speed and unbelievable puck control.
He can't skate, can't defend, and does not engage in physical contact.
Not to mention gross mental errors.
    Defenceman?

  18. Why candy coat your answers, what Jarry said was the truth. The best goalies in the world would look bad on the Oilers because of their weak defense most games.

  19. Whatever…. Oil def definitely have their defensive struggles, but most of the goals he let in against Minny weren’t grade A’s…. He played shitty. Oil had way more grade A’s on Wallstedt and he seemed to do just fine. Word out of Pit is this is what Jarry does, likes to lay blame on others.
