I don't really see the need for him. I'm not saying Copp is a great #2 center because he's not, but he does fit/complement Kane and DeBrincat very well. That is the best line on the team. This will be an unpopular idea, but if they bring him in, then he should be the #1 with Larkin moving to the #3rd line. That's not to hate on Larkin, but he is not a championship level #1 center. He is a very good #1 center. He is a championship level #2 center. There is no need to break up the #2 line… it is playing great. Larkin had a hot start. I think it was like 15 points in 10 games. Since then, he has been way under a point a game clip, and he has never been a point a game guy in his career. Raymond is driving the top line, not Larkin.

So what are we looking at here? We only need two pieces to be complete. But would trocheck if acquired get you to the finals? I don't think so. There's 25 games left he won't get you to the Stanley cup this year. Patrick Kane May retire. I'd rather take EP 40. He's younger and Lucas Raymond and him have good chemistry. Then bring up some of the prospects next year.

People talking like we don’t need more offense and acting like 32 is ancient. I could see if he had six years left on the deal, but it isn’t like that. With the cap moving up, people need to recalibrate what salaries mean. The salary isn’t bad especially in this cap.
