  1. Malkin could have taken his talents to almost any team and been the #1 but stayed in Pittsburgh knowing he would always be #2. Love him for that. He wanted to win more than anything.

  2. I’ve always thought Malkin’s experience would’ve made him a great fit in Toronto and it’s about the only place where a Stanley Cup win would’ve put him in the same category as Sidney Crosby for legend status.

  3. A non-Penguin Malkin is an interesting thought exercise. If the Capitals draft him instead of Ovechkin, does Washington do better than they have? Imagine the Pens with Sid and Ovi…
    If the Pens draft someone other than Geno, where does Geno end up? #3 in Chicago? #4 in Carolina, who won the Cup during the 05-06 season…playing with Brindamour, Staal, and Recchi.
