Whether you're in the stand pat at the deadline camp, or the be active one, here's a mock trade I think all can agree on. Kevin Hayes and a 3rd rounder for a bag of peanuts. Think about what this enables. Want to bring Avery Hayes up? No Problem. Don't want to lose a d-man when Tangers comes back? No problem. You see where I'm going with this?
Here's how to solve the tanking: the most wins/points a team earns after being eliminated from playoff contention gets the 1st overall pick. Gives the worst teams the most time to build points and makes it so a team that gets eliminated on the last game of the season can't get a high pick.
