I agree on the Norris thing, however, I don’t think he can stay hurt forever without having a career ending injury.
Look at Byram and Sammy. Byram had a history with concussions prior to coming here, but he’s been fully healthy since coming here. As far as Sammy went, I remember thinking, “That is one BIG ARSE and expensive piece of glass!!”, but it looks like he’s put the injuries behind him.
I’ve seen in my many years of watching hockey, players can be injury prone early on, then they suddenly put that injury bug behind them and don’t miss a game the rest of their careers.
If we can’t move on from Norris, or if he really can be an 80+ point player in Buffalo, I hope that’s the case and one day he squashes that bug!
They need defenseman….. Power or Byram and probably Quinn? They send back a pick, maybe a 2nd and we add a 5th or 6th to sweeten the pot?

sabres are 8th in the league for goals for. there's no urgency to add an $11 million purely offensive player. you've already got a log jam of players growing into potentially filling that role. they need to anchor their bottom defensive pair with a serviceable shut down defenseman and free up space to keep current players here who will be up for a new deal.
