The truth about MTL’s prospect pool..

OK Guys, as many of you are aware, the Montreal Canadiens have one of the best prospect pools in the entire NHL. But how many of them will actually make the team? How many of them do I consider overrated? In today’s video I’m going to create a tier list and give these Habs prospects an actual report card! Enjoy.

  1. People who still blindly hype up Reinbacher are pathetically hilarious. He has shown nothing in 3 years except how fragile he is and might end up not even being NHL caliber at all. If he wasn't drafted by the Habs everybody would agree he's a complete bust. Meanwhile we passed on Michkov and Leonard who would be huge in this lineup right now. Without a doubt the biggest mistake this management has made so far with the Dach trade not far behind.

  2. I agree with almost all of your list, I believe Volokhin will be an NHL regular, if that’s his goal and Engstrom to me has some star potential.

  3. There are only TWO in th eentire system because every otehr one would not increase the talent on the Habs right now.
The two are Hage and the Russian whom is about 2 years away.Reinbacher would NOT improve this team and neither would Fowler.I personally like Engstrom I feel is better than Reinbacher but even he can't crack this lineup.MTL does not need goalies or Defence they need a couple rugged forwards who can protect the puck move the puck AND skate. The only guy like that is Hage .
Florian is an AHL player unless he can spend a full year off ice training on his skating he will never be an impact player in the NHL.Fowler is a dime a dozen goalei drops to his knees every shot and prays pucks hit him well guess what we already have tow goalies that can do that the entire NHL is full of those goalies.
Beck will NEVER be good enough he is to small and has no outstanding skills.
We let Barre go he was the best offensive player Laval had and the most responsible is the vet Belzisle whom never gets the respect he deserves.

  4. God damnit…. growing up i made the… leafs…. my 2nd favorite team just to have a fun rivalry with my dad but if your videos are starting to sway me 😂😂

  5. For me, I'd put thos guys in the "Prove me wrong" category : Joshua Roy, Luke Tuch, Filip Mesar. They have had virtually no progression in the last 3 seasons (counting this one).

Wawa reminds me of any generic Quebec born player that we cheer for mostly because they're fro Quebec. Laurent Dauphin and Alex Belzile have more impact on their team because they play with more grit and heart. Wawa doesn't get in the trafic where he'd be a threat, he plays on the perimeter.

Luke Tuch is 23 (almost 24). 2 seasons in Laval, and it looks like he's regressing. He's waaaaay too slow to have any impact on the game.

Filip Mesar : 18 and 20 points so far in the AHL. He's almost invisible. Like Wawa, doesn't get in the dirty spots, and he's small. He'll probably return to Europe when his contract is over in 2027.

  6. I don’t hope that Fowler is like Carey Price. Carey was an amazing goalie, but he completely wrecked his body doing it. Hopefully Fowler can be amazing in his own right, but be more gentle on his knees.

  7. I saw Aatos when he was in a baby carriage at Rotisserie Italien in Montreal when i worked there. Saku cleared his own table and was super nice. There was noone in the restaurant but him, his wife and kid, me, the owners and cooks.

  8. Practiced a few times with Q. Miller before he went to Quebec ~3 years ago. He's a guy with a slightly above average skillset, average athletics, but great size. That's about it.

As a fellow goaltender, he didn't wow me at the time. Wasn't even much better than me. Just much, much taller. Doubt that'll translate that well to the NHL.

  9. Carey Price career was never the same after the Rangers Kreider left the ice n flew into him years ago,he didn't get checked into him,it was a dirty cheap play n shid have been suspended!!!

  10. I'm just glad there don't seem to be any superstars that went after Reinbacher in the draft, at least not yet. I wouldn't want Michkov, but if even one other player turns out to be a half decent player, then I think we fucked up taking Reinbacher. Nothing about him screams 5th overall pick.

  11. MacNeil has made great strides this season. Hes a great stay at home D thats not afraid of tossing himself in front of the puck, hit or pummel someone for a cheapshot on a teammate…and he does it all with a smile on his face. Mentioned same to Frankie Bouillion when he comes to watch him.

  12. good list I think the middle tho could use a bit of thinning out towards the bottom if we are being 100% honest, example Mesar is for sure a prove me wrong case nowadays

  13. I put Reinbacher as a future star. People are just overreacting because it's not happening NOW NOW NOW!!!

  14. Going to Med Hat Taggers game this weekend. I'll let you know how that one kid does. As someone who never played organized hockey and knows literally nothing my opinion will be extremely well informed and important.
