I grew up on 90s hockey. This literally happened twice between 1990 and 2010. This year it’s happened 30 times. Just saying.
Okay yeah there’s something different this season equipment wise, whether it be price cuts or less equipment management because it’s every other day we have a skate blade malfunction, and every game a stick breaking
is it me or are blades snapping and falling out much more than ever?

I dont get why there isnt a plan for teams when this or a broken stick happens. Like just get to the bench and play 4 on 5 for 6 seconds.
There was a time when you bought a pair of hockey skates, and you could unbox them and go to the rink and skate. Now you buy the boots, you buy the steel, you buy the laces, I swear to God, give it three years and we’ll have to buy the box.
Just get off, you’re useless. I don’t get it. You can’t defend or even get in the way. Go for a change. 😊

Get these interchangeable blades out the game. Pointless innovation.
It isn't that it is happening more or that it is cheep. Since they started using these snap in blades so skates can be sharp on the bench instead of a 5 minute trip to the locker room and social media being locked in on people struggling and failure over winning and success you see it more

1000$ plus skates and can’t even keep the blades in like the older days. What’s happening?
If you've ever lost a blade you know how crazy amazing his balance is. Only time it happened to me was shot broke blade holder off my skate.
While its great that you can swap blades mid period for sharp one and not have to remove boot, its still dumb how often they're coming out these days
