I’d trade Rakell in a split second without further thought for Robertson any day of the week. Spend some of that money. Use it or lose it? Don’t lose it!
It's been fun watching the women's Olympic hockey teams play, at least what my internet provider shows. But, I'm anxious for the men to start tomorrow. Hopefully we get through the tournament without any injuries. 🏒🐧🇺🇲
On paper, everything you said makes sense. But wingers that Crosby can work with do not grow on trees. How many big names have the Pens traded for with the idea of slotting them next to Crosby only for the experiment to last a couple of days tops? Crosby likes Rakell on his wing. Trading him for Robertson and then learning that he and Crosby have no chemistry now forces you to figure out not only who goes to the Crosby line, but who's line gets disrupted to find a spot for Robertson. Right now, the chemistry of the lines is so important to making this engine go that I don't know that you want to tamper with it, unless it's a slam dunk.
Was fun to go thru yesterday. Was not expecting this team to be so good this season. Would gladly take lineup to playoffs. Robertson is terrific but maybe not if they ask for Rackell and a 1st and a 3rd. Dubas has lots of picks coming up and will have tons of cap. 🎉 🎉
Pens should run 5 d man and bring in Hayes
I would be in favor of Rakell for Robertson. I love Rakell, but Robertson could really elevate the 1st line and in turn, this team.
I would rather see the situation with RR remain the same till the off-season. Don't forget, Slumps work both ways. If Sid isn't doing his typical thing, it's gonna affect his linemates.
I've never been a fan of moving Rust or Raks out for an "upgrade" bc the locker room impact would not be worth it but I'd rather see Dubas make a a couple more deals like the Chinny one. Good, young player who doesn't cost a lot and will reinforce your depth. Probably need that for RHD before the deadline
To insert Hayes you have to find the player who isnt "meshing" with the team, even if hes producing. The spark Hayes added to McGroarty and the meaning they bring is a fire you cant just create… If Hayes is legit legit. The hatty the next AHL game certainly didnt hurt his case.
If you can get Jason Robertson, it would be criminal not to acquire him. Rakell, two prospects other than Kindel, and a second-round pick — that would be fair for both sides.
Thank you DK. Tuff moves to make , but a trade for Robertson if they can pull it off would be a great move. It's a great problem to have until it isn't. Great show DK. Small steps, this is a bigger one.
I think the only way you can load manage is with minutes in game. Roll lines. 15-17 min for the forwards. 18-22 for the D. Spread it around.
Rakks has 10 goals this season. He actually gets a shot away on -50% of the one-timers put on a platter for him. I like him, but he needs to start playing to his ability.
DK, this robertson on this show now and chris’s comments on double shot is about as bad as the crosby speculation you criticized all offseason. These nonsense rumors are ridiculous, He’s an RFA and dallas would be crazy to move him. That would take a HAUL that the penguins would never do, and deep down you know that’s true.
Funny I don't follow hockey around the league much but on that note I do watch the Pens play when I get a chance. My brother and I were talking about this yesterday. Get another Forward
