Why would the Leafs want to trade McMann. And what would they get for him, either trade, or draft pick, that would be any better?

I think the whole Rielly to Sharks trade started when Nick Kypreos mentioned it, and rumours that Rielly to Sharks has legs started to circulate in the days that followed. Although I would personally want to see Rielly go, I do not see it. He has no trade clause. Although I do not see that happening, the Leafs do need to move away from him. Rielly leaving is the best change in DNA I can think of. Lol
In my humble opinion I don't think it matters all that much who your captain is ,, the team is Stacked,, there's so many leaders in the room!! You just pick the best player,
A 3rd? Dude the leafs aren’t going to let him go for a 3rd. I’d say 1st or bust. Reilly needs to go , even if you have to eat a few million . They need to get a top D in summer. Then they need to use the extra $ from salary cap going up and get a top 6. I would look to get rid of some more players to. We need to retool and get draft capital like Boston did last year
