We begin our midseason evaluations. Moritz Seider has been dominating, but was that expected? We also evaluate Cam Talbot, Jacob Bernard-Docker, James van Riemsdyk, Andrew Copp, Emmitt Finnie and Michael Rasmussen. #LGRW

2 more days until the Men's tournament starts!
Seider: Meeting. This is where expectations and grades differ significantly. Seider is meeting my expectations, but like, my expectations are so high for him, he'd have to be like a 30 goal scorer to hit above and beyond for me. He's easily our best player, I don't think it's close, and he's been it the past several seasons, thus the high expectations.
Finnie: Above and Beyond. I mean, making the roster was above. Being a constant presence, and on pace to be likely a 30 point guy two years out of being a SEVENTH ROUND pick. That's A&B for me.
Copp: Above, borderline A&B. I expected a 4th line quality center playing 3rd line role heading into the season. (The expected 2nd line center will be discussed later) We got a high-end 3rd line center doing a respectable job on the second line.
Talbot: Meeting. He's been fine. Not spectacular, but he can steal you the occasional game, and he's not usually going to cost you games.
JBD: Below, slightly. I don't know if I had expectations, but I had hope that he'd find a way to be the 2nd pair RD. That was before ASP made the roster though. I feel like he's been okay, but I was hoping he'd more of a mainstay on the blueline.
JVR: Above. I wasn't expecting much at all. I thought he'd just be another veteran depth guy like a Christian Fischer. I hadn't kept up with JVR before he got to the Wings. That's on me, but it gave me very low expectations. He's been so money this season in the crease. I don't know this for a fact, but it seems like most of his goals are just clutch as hell. I'm very tempted to put him in A&B, but he has cooled down a bit. Can't wait to see him in the playoffs.
Ras: Below. I had extremely low expectations for him, and he hasn't even met them. Dude was a 9th overall pick, and he's getting scratched. The improved play, especially on the pk, keeps me from putting him in failure. He's had flashes of brilliance, but it's too infrequent to justify a roster spot to me. You know why we all remember the big Rasmussen hits and sick goals? It's because they stand out so much because he rarely does anything that impressive. He's the first guy on my "trade him" list.
Seider should be the Captain. The Superbowl was on didn't even know or care
Brian "pumping up the tires" Fisher 🤣 Someone has to do it 🤘🏼😎
