Great coverage as always, but I disagree on the reffing – only one game this season has been bad enough to call them out. The Pens aren’t missing Letang, and with three (other) key players out they still won against a top team. Pens currently have the best player depth I’ve seen in years.
Ben Kindel, Avery Hayes, Rutger McGroarty, Ville Koivunen, and Murashov shows the Pens got a youth movement infusion just like they had with Jake, Rust, and Matt Murray.
Sounds like a similar way the radio announcers seen the game. A win is a win, good to see momentum carry into the break… Enjoy the Olympics and time off from travel… maybe cover a bit of it, if it relates to penguins players or some of the big games. Cheers.
Shea had a rough night against the islanders as well ( i was there for that game). He is trying (maybe too hard) but seems to be having difficulties settling the puck and making the smart play on his off side.
Shilovs has been amazing and consistent. the team falls apart deep into the third and they have no shooters in shoot-outs. Shilovs has given everything and has earned my respect

Stop the bitching about the refs! The longer you are around the game you realize that people who know the game complain less about refs than anyone.
