  1. Sabres fan here. Sounds like a possible Jarmo type trade. With Norris not being reliable. This might be something he sees. Put Norris on LTIR. Plenty of prospects to give

  2. The DRW ONLY trade assets are their loaded prospect pool and their picks. No players (outside of their core) are players that other teams would want. And SteveY aint givin up his prospects. He may give up a few future picks, but not a lot. His stated process is "build through the draft". Why trade his prospects for a second line centerman when he has one already in Danielson, Lombardi, or Kasper. DRWs need Dmen not forwards.

  3. I think you nailed it; the trade price will go down as we near the trade deadline. If Armstrong doesn't make a tangible effort to improve the Blues he may be looking for a new job at the end of the season.

  4. I mean… he’s going to be expensive because he’s only in the 3rd year of an 8-year deal at just over 8M AAV. Thats a lot of control for a seemingly consistent two-way center. You get into the back end of that deal and if he’s still producing, no reason to think he won’t, and that is a very team friendly deal. The catch is balancing if it’s worth trading the future for; is it a net loss in the case of Detroit, and also Thomas has a no-trade. Would he even like to play in Hockeytown?

  5. No one is likely willing to pay that cost, and no not even a consideration to me if I am in control of Detroit or Montreal. Not a hit on Thomas but it simply isn't worth anywhere near the cost. You don't need to take on that 8+ million a year even with the cap going up to then only put all your bags in one basket. Better to use that money more wisely to supplement the current rosters moving forward then throw it all away on the hopes Thomas is the guy. Both teams are currently in the top 10 by committee, there is no valid reason to destroy that.

  6. Jiri Kulich, Konstantinos Helenois, Owen Power should get it done. If Kulich can’t get healthy Radim Mrtic

  7. If Armstrong gets an offer of Danielson, Bear, Augustine and a 1st for Thomas and Faulk and turns it down he should be fired. Ideally it would be Plante instead of Bear but that's as far as I'd go as a Wings fan. Actually I'd be willing to throw in a sweetener like Wallinder if thats what it takes. I'd even consider Cossa if STL values him that much higher than Aug. My only untouchable is MBN. Either way I think what Detroit has to offer is better for STL then what Habs and even Canes have so D should be in the drivers seat if STL pulls the trigger and if they're smart they would do it this deadline because the time and place couldn't get any better to land the type of package that will quickly turn that team in the right direction.

  8. Robert Thomas is going nowhere. If anything his trade value would be at the highest at the draft

  9. Right cause St Louis doesn't need to trade this guy. They are trying to dump Schenn, Faulk, maybe Kyou, Binnington, Buchnevich,
    Not happening.

  10. Trade price us perfect for a young, 1st line center, point-per-game, good defense franchise changing player that is locked up on not a good contract but a FANTASTIC contract. You dont like it, move on.

  11. They are asking way too much from the Red Wings and Canadians. Go ask Ken Holland with the Kings. That guy has no use for young players.

  12. That's what they're asking first.. there's only a couple of teams in the league that can afford that. So it's funny to say that St Louis has the upper hand when in all actuality if there's only a couple of teams that can afford it if they don't want to pay you're going to have to go lower. So who actually has the power in this negotiation😂😂😂

  13. Kapanen might never score as much as Thomas but he can play defense. Good luck to the Blues, mtl did enough business by getting them to take "red light" Mailloux.
