Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice meets the media after he was ejected during his team’s 6-1 loss to the host Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 5, 2026.

Maurice was tossed during the third period with Florida down 4-0.

The Panthers have lost five of six going into the Olympic break; they return Feb. 26 against the Toronto Maple Leafs with 25 games remaining.

    Any time you want to add another true enforcer Zito, we're waiting. This should have been addressed immediately after the preseason, even WITH Gadj on the roster. He always gets hurt and eventually everyone else is going to get injured too, because Florida Panthers have the dirty team reputation, so it's going to keep inviting shenanigans like this to keep happening

    I didn't realize Paul Maurice had such a loser mentality. Blame it on the condensed schedule that every other NHL team has too.
