  1. is it me or does james hagens have a unique way of shooting the puck? i think the bruins look night and day from last year. there creative passing and puck movement is totally different. the young guys and other additions have really made a difference. the officiating for some reason always hates the bruins. that is a given i guess.

  2. If anyone told me during last September that the B’s would have a .600 points percentage in early February, I would have laughed.
This roster has completely surprised me. I was convinced their early-season success was predicated on over-performance in overtime 3v3. However, the B’s have piled up more regulation Wins in January, and that gives me more confidence that their success this season is legitimate.

  3. Great season overall. Better than forecasted or expected.
Last nights game against Florida left some question marks for me on Marco's decisions.
1, The starting goalie for one of the most important games before the break.
    2. The choice of shooters in the shoot-out.

  4. The officiating in the Tampa/Florida games was astonishingly bad. It turns fans away when their players are injured by a dirty hit and somehow ends up short handed

  5. I think the biggest issues are the PP, Sturm's process of choosing shooters for the shoot-outs and as you mentioned, Sturm's unwillingness to call time-outs to stop the bleeding when things start to go downhill fast with penalties. I think the other issue is staying out of the box. They need to be more disciplined. Been impressed with 5×5 play – continued to shine even with Zacha and Lindholm out. Khusnutdinov, Minten and Poitras really stepped up. I also like that Sturm seems to be a good coach for the younger players. He seems to build their confidence and lets them play without fear of being stapled to the bench if they make a mistake. He gets that it's part of the process. Bottom line is they exceeded my expectations, I just don't know if it will be enough coming back from break. They'll need to hit the ground running with their schedule and who knows what will happen to the roster at the trade deadline.

  6. This is a great podcast – focused, yet all over the spectrum with lots of interesting factoids.

Playoff teams are a good mixture of veterans with young ones, that's what we're looking at.

    Steve Nash?
    🤔

I want to give a shout out to the Alberta mustangs, USPHL.. they lost three boys on their way to hockey practice.

    JJ Wright, Cameron Casorso
    and
    Caden Fine

  7. I've been a Bruins fan since the 70s didn't Bobby Lalonde was your dad he was one of my favorite players always enjoyed watching him playing as much I enjoy your video keep it up.

  8. Listen to had some bad calls, terrible discipline, scared 5 goals, got a point. Fka stifled them, physical too, they scored 4 giaks, got a point. Not great, but not bad for the fla gauntlet boyz!

  9. Piss yellow is NEVER a good look added to that was the white gloves. As an old hockey fan I HATE clown shows like the “stadium series.”

  10. The refs know the Bruins are top of the league in penalties #1. Like in all sports, the refs know it and that's part of how they call the game. The Bruins are also not a smart team. That's evident also in the penalties. Swayman going after a guy and then kuralyi on the ground picking up the puck and tossing it. That's just dumb. Lindholm has had so many sticks in people's legs this year it's an automatic call. I have to question some of Sturm's methods and zero adjustments in that regard with penalties. Leach and Kelly aren't helping either

  11. Bring back Charlie Coyle and give either him or Zadorov the C. this game proves that neither McAvoy nor pasta have what it takes to be captains at this time they act childish too often

  12. The Bruins need to fire PJ Axelsson . Pounding the table for Vaak and Lysell is all you need to know about him.

  13. Bruins and leafs need to be the next winter classic. How has that not happened yet?

On a side note, who won the jersey giveaway and which jersey was it?

  14. You need to re watch the game buddy. The Ref had money on the game. I ref, I never blame the ref. That was the worst ref'd game in the history of sport. Explain the ref with his hand up and swayman going to the bench. You are trying to justify how you were so wrong about this team.

  15. There was a party atmosphere but it was TBL's party and the refs (for me) sucked the party right out of the room. Maybe I've got a tinfoil hat but when Pasta's overtime goal was nullified and nothing was called on the Lightning for the last almost half the game it was like Tampa will win this game for the ratings. Whew, got that off my chest! I know-I know, the refs couldn't orchestrate a one car funeral but geez, it seemed like it!

  16. Court and Reed, this was a phenomenal show. So fascinating to listen to and learn from even though I’ve been a fan of the Bruins for almost 60 years. Just great stuff guys. I wish that you both could be on Hf Boards and I know Reed was. But had to leave for some reason. You guys are hockey savants.👍

  17. In my opinion Kucherov has been the best player in the NHL for 3 years running now. Take him off Tampa and they’re easily the worst team in the NHL. People dog him for the PP points…the whole point of the PP is to score and he’s the best at it…

  18. 42:16 I have no beef with anyone voting for Minten as “7th player”, but it’s Kastelic in my opinion.
Already career highs in Goals, Points, Face-off %, TOI, shots, and shot attempts.
He’s exceeded expectations and meaningfully contributed to team success in an elevated role compared to previous seasons.
He also selflessly takes (and wins) the draws in 3v3 then immediately skates to the bench to be replaced.
That’s my definition of a “7th player” awardee.

  19. Start of the season if you said the bruins would be in a playoff spot at the Olympic break I would happily take it

  20. Another guest with a terrible camera (blurry and reversed) awful microphone. I love this channel but why is this happening in 2026?

  21. The Bruins have exceeded my expectations! Obvious flaws but they’re a tough team to play and grind you down. They another draft and development. They have a chance to build something.
