Myers comes in and plays well. And yes he makes a few mistakes, what leaf defenceman doesnt??? But everyone wants to point out myers mistakes. How about pointing out hi positives. Like his size, like he hits everyone and makes forwards nervous. He is a brute in front of the net. He makes the rest of the team tougher.
Going to buy him out? Eat some salary and give away a pick or prospect to trade him? Who would take him?

This is the leafs 2005 to 2016 era all over again, minus 2013.
He has a no move clause and a wife from Ontario and a young kid. He's not going anywhere. Is he paid too much? Yes. But he's not going anywhere. Play him fewer minutes, sure, but stop the narrative that he can be traded. Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again – I think Mo is a genuinely good person, loved by his team, a room leader (more so than the captain), inclusive and a caretaker of his teammates. And yes, it's a sports organization, but you also need to keep some integrity on the team, too.
Yes, trade anyone over 25 years old.

It is time to move on from Rogers and the MLSE!! Leafs do not win the cup with the current owner / management. Full stop. Moving or buying out Morgan does not move the needle. Only shifts the spotlight. Keep the focus on the owner.
But if you are going to rebuild then Domi and Morgan are the exact type of player you need to bottom out.

Rielly is the most overrated Dman in the league.
At least without Morgan, Carlo looks alright. Even if Makar played for the Leafs and was paired with Morgan, as I have been arguing. Makar would like a mediocre and average defenseman. Lol
Adam forgets after this sample size that they did try OEL on the 1st unit before and it struggled too and that is with Morgan being put on the 2nd PP unit. So using the 1 game sample size is a bit disingenous if you ask me
The time was before Dubas gave him the huge extension. His flaws were only ever sort of coverable by his freakishly high atheticism. He should not have been extended, unfortunately.
Rielly dates back to that disaster in Boston, where the Leafs fell 5-4 in overtime after winning 4-1 in the third period. That is one major method if you really want to alter the Leafs' DNA. Move away from Rielly.

The problem is, no competing team would want him. He's not good enough to be top 4 on a contender and his defense isn't good enough for bottom pair. He would only go to a bottom or mid team to sure up defense for a couple of seasons until that team improves enough they dont need him.
