Another star for a bag of pucks. I think Drury is trying to see how many bad moves he can make before he gets fired. As for Greentree, he may be a good player now in the minors, but once the Rangers development team gets a hold of him, he'll turn to shit!!
Once Drury got this proposal and knew what Pan wanted then
1. sign the dude and trade in off-season
2. tell the Kings to pound dirt
3. Waive the fker, have him sit rest of season and then walk.
In the end, we got nothing so if he walks, it's same thing !!
The Rangers had to take deal or would have gotten nothing. It is better to get something rather than he walks.

This is a big win. Greentree is a stud. Panarin could have sat there and run out his contract and we'd get nothing. Anything for him was a win. You telly like 50 percent retained is a fortune. More or less than 5.5 mil left on the year. Calm down

I was expecting a mini haul for the breadman. This is just gut wrenching. And we obtain 50% of Panarin's contract WTF!!! Dury has been a complete disaster. Im starting to believe he's a spy for another organization sent here to cripple the Rangers for years to come. They should've held Panarin to March's trade deadline.

The time to make this trade was when they lost to Florida in the conference final when he had 2yrs left on his contract. We're all going to forget playoff crumbs? He had 12 goals in 44 playoff games and a -12 during his time with us.. Ghosted on backcheck, never in lanes and cowered in the big moments. 35 points in 46 games and 5 of the 12 goals were on the PP. He was awful in the post at best. Stop crying. He was worth nothing as a rental because hes a playoff ghost. LA bought a star to fill seats like they always do because that's all their fans care about. Stars.

I like to think of this trade is either loosing panarin for nothing after the season or getting atleast something and for that i can say i got something for him. in anycase he had a no movement clause and that is where the rangers were forced to deal him to
