I didn't expect a lot this year as I opted out of my tickets and when the season started it look like we may have turned a corner and were on the right track. I wasn't shocked that I was right Jack got hurt and it was an epic nosedive that most hockey minds couldn't believe. It's pretty disheartening as a long time Devil fan but this team is going nowhere fast. I think the only solution is to start over from scratch as this team shows no life at all. I 've been here from the first game in 83 and yes, the Devils were not a very good hockey team then, but they at least gave it everything they had, and it wasn't a lack of effort it was a lack of talent. This is why is hurts so much they have talent and not much effort.
It’s not premature to completely rebuild this team. You cannot teach WANT, you cannot teach HEART, you cannot teach COMPETE and CONFIDENCE that all comes from within and the majority of these players don’t have it and never will.
The fact that Miles Wood wasn't completely pummeled after running into Marky tells us all we need to know about this team. Also, for anyone saying that some of our players are untouchable, currently, the Devils don't have a single player in the top 50 for points, goals, or assists. Not sure who they'd consider untouchable.
Listen..critiquing on bad side about Keefe's after game presser, bs…not weird, reallatity. 1 part of the toxicity of the culture or strive to attain it
Its the players and GM who built this group. Unfortunately Keefe will be the patsy. 110 percent agree with Ace there
This loss did it for me. Lifeless and pathetic performance. I said the same thing about the Giants, if they could just make it competitive I’ll watch but it’s not even fun anymore.
Others coaches yes but Keefe is not a problem until they make it look like that

Ace, I have been watching this team since the 2010-2011 season… Freshman year of high school…. This has to be the worst season I have ever seen. I know for the older generations, this season may seem nothing to them, but this team just ripped my heart out and spat in my face. I'm done giving my money, attention, and fandom to this team until changes are made.
This falls squarely on Sheldon Keefe and Jeremy Colliton’s complete and utter inability to run an offensive system fit for highly-skilled, fast hockey players. Keefe and Colliton need to be fired. The blue jackets fired their head coach and look what happened now they’ve gone on a heater and are way better than they were.
Talking about this as Keefe’s issue is INSANE. This is the same exact team I’ve been watching for the last decade.
We’ve switched out the supporting cast 4?5?6? Times it’s the CORE. Same results for almost 10 years now. Atleast 2 pieces including Nico need to go. If fitz were to god forbid resign capt. grimace to a 12×8 I will jump off of a bridge. We will NEVER win with this guy “leading” this team.
The problem is they won’t feel the money squeeze bc games are totally geared towards “family” and young girls who are fan girling so they will spend the money bc they don’t have a clue.
If fitz isn’t gone by the end of the season. I would love to have a fire fitz chant outside of the stadium for the entirety of the last home game.
It's crazy that with this team, as soon as the Jackets scored, I knew that one goal was too tall a task for this group and turned the game off, and unfortunately I was right. I think the Devils should retool this roster. As you said, there's still enough here in terms of pieces and draft capital where it shouldn't need to be torn down. But the guys we have aren't working together. I'm sure that there's some blame on Keefe, but it's more on Fitz and the players. We've been the worst team in shooting percentage for a while now. We're middle of the pack in chance generation despite the flawed roster. The Fitz quote I'm going back to is "I know what this team needs". So, he either knows and can't figure out how to get it, so he should be fired, or he really doesn't know and should be fired.
The core of the problem is the owners DO NOT care. If they cared, Fitz would be gone immediately. The entire front office would be replaced. The fan based is toast until the team is under new ownership.
I love going to live games, but I am both sad and glad I've stayed away this season. If I was in attendance at that lifeless embarrassing affair I might never have returned. This team has given up. No energy. No hussle. No emotional investment. NO GOALS. They're pathetic. I'm going to just enjoy watching the game of hockey the next couple of months and hoping for some wins b/c wins are fun. But I'm probably turning it off when they give up the first goal from now on cuz there's practically zero chance of these heartless hacks putting up any kind of fight. This Devils teams has become background TV watching for me while I scroll on my phone. Wake me up when the Devils do.

I'm slowly losing interest. For me, the Devils were always a team with a lot of heart, passion, and cohesion. Now they're a motley crew without emotion or guts, which is painful to watch.
If we didn’t have the 8 game heater this season would have been done even earlier.
I'm disgusted. And I stopped watching months ago.
Dougie Hamilton needs to go. He takes a lot of bad shots from the blue line that puts defense in harm's Way.
