Beautiful goal by Kappanen tonight. If Nuge wasn’t so useless at face offs he could solve the third line Center problem on this team. When was the last time he even scored a goal 5-5 playing with 97. He has no finish!
great question about 'coaching-out' the high-sticking penalties. But this trainer cannot improve the team on any front, so there is your answer. No he cannot discipline this team in any form or shape!
he is not RESPONSIBLE, he makes it about the ref-ing. Partially may be true, but the Oilers take an insane amount of high-sticking, he is absolutely right, and Knoblauch doesn't want to admit he does not improve the team.
The more I watch hockey, the less sense fandom and media make. The lines of questioning toward coaches and players are so bizarre, as though one is trying to hold them to account for their actions. It's a game, people. They aren't elected officials. They aren't dealing in life or death. They are playing a game. It is essentially reality TV. Y'all are so weird.
